Procedures and Required Documents for Bringing Cats and Dogs to Malaysia
Microchip implantation: Malaysia requires all imported cats and dogs to be microchipped for identification.
Rabies vaccination: After your cat or dog is microchipped, give it an effective rabies vaccination before departure
Basic vaccinations: Cats and dogs must be vaccinated with effective basic vaccinations before departure
Import Permit: We will arrange for you to apply for an import permit for your pet to enter Malaysia.
Animal Health Certificate: A comprehensive health check is required before departure, and a health certificate is issued by a veterinarian containing the pet's health condition and related information.
Disinfection: According to Malaysia’s requirements, dogs must complete disinfection procedures and obtain relevant certificates before entering the country.
Documents endorsed by the Fisheries and Conservation Department: Cats and dogs need to go to the Fisheries and Conservation Department for a final inspection on the day of departure, along with the aircraft cage, to prove that the pet is in good health and can successfully cope with the flight and that the aircraft cage is in good condition.
